Member of Psi Chi National Honor Society in Psychology
The purpose of this national honor society in psychology is to encourage, stimulate and maintain excellence in scholarship and to advance the science of psychology. Members must rank in the top 35 percent of the class, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and a minimum GPA of 3.0 in psychology courses. They must have completed at least three college semesters and nine credits of psychology courses and be enrolled in a program of study with strong psychological content.

Stonehill Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) Summer 2015 Awards
A total of 48 Stonehill College students will work with 25 faculty members on a variety of research projects during the summer of 2015. This will mark the 20th year of the Stonehill Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) program, whose purpose is to provide students with an opportunity to perform significant, publishable research under the guidance of an experienced faculty researcher.

Four Concordia ensembles to perform concerts
Four musical ensembles from Concordia University, Nebraska will perform two combined concerts in April. The Chamber Choir and Chamber Orchestra will perform at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, in the Recital Hall of Concordia's Music Center. The Male Chorus and Women's Chorale will perform at 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, at St. Gregory the Great Seminary in Seward, Nebraska.

Concordia University's A Cappella Choir tours Midwest
Concordia University, Nebraska's University A Cappella Choir will travel to Iowa, Illinois, Indiana and Missouri for its annual tour April 8-12. The choir will conclude the tour with two local-area concerts on Sunday, April 19, at 3 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Lincoln and at 7 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Seward.

Nichols Announces Dean's List for Fall Term
More than 400 Nichols students have earned Dean's List or Dean's High Honors during the just-completed fall term. The Dean's List recognizes students who have achieved high grades during a single semester.
In order to be included in the Dean's List, a student must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.2 for at least 12 credit-hours and receive no grade below a C+ during the semester. A student who earns a grade point average of 3.6 or higher is awarded Dean's High Honors.

Concordia musical ensembles perform with high school honor musicians
High school students from across the country performed in an honor choir and honor band as part of Musical Arts Day, Friday, Nov. 7, on the Concordia University, Nebraska campus. The day culminated in an evening concert in the Physical Education Building with the University A Cappella Choir and University Symphonic Band.

Christmas spirit fills the air during Christmas at Concordia weekend
Concordia University, Nebraska celebrated the Christmas season with its annual Christmas at Concordia concerts Dec. 5-7 at St. John Lutheran Church in Seward. Christmas at Concordia weekend also included the 20th annual Scholarship Parade of Homes and a community reception.

Concordia will present an evening of music, suspense and theatre in the production of the musical "The Phantom of the Opera" on Nov. 8 at 7:30 p.m., Nov. 9 at 2 p.m., Nov. 14 at 7:30 p.m., Nov. 15 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 16 at 2 p.m., all in Weller Hall auditorium.

Assumption College's 97th Commencement ceremony was held on May 17 on the campus's H.L. Rocheleau Field, where 463 Bachelor of Arts degrees; 217 graduate studies degrees (Master of Arts and Master of Business Administration) and certificates; and 35 Continuing and Career Education degrees (Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Science, and associates) were awarded.

Local Students Recognized for Academic Excellence at Assumption College's 30th Honors Annual Convocation
Assumption College honored 67 students with awards for academic excellence on April 14 at the College's 30th Annual Honors Convocation. The ceremony was held on campus in the Chapel of the Holy Spirit. Awards ranged from departmental honors to special subject-specific recognitions, to Augustine Scholarships, the College's highest academic honor.

Stonehill College Students To Spend Spring Break Helping Others
Many Stonehill College students will be spending their spring break week helping those in need as part of the school's H.O.P.E. Alternative Spring Break Program.
The following local residents will be traveling the week of March 9th to Portland, Oregon where they will be volunteering at St. Andre Bessette Catholic Church. They will be working with the church's hospitality ministry, building community with those who are hungry, homeless, mentally ill, recovering from drug addiction and abuse, or living with intellectual and an developmental disabilities.

Colby-Sawyer College Women's Basketball Team for Spring 2014
The Colby-Sawyer College women's basketball team was selected as the preseason favorite to win the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) title in a vote conducted by the league's coaches. Led by Head Coach George Martin and Assistant Coach John Billings, the team is comprised of 17 student-athletes.
